REI services for the installation of storm and sanitary sewers in 20th Avenue between 126th Street and US Bulkhead line Area and water main, replacement in College Point Blvd., between 11th and 22nd Avenues, Borough of Queens.
NY Professional Services (NYPS) is the Sub-consultant to Tectonic Engineering, PC, on this $108 Million Capital Project. We provide an Inspector, Archaeologist, and a Community Construction Liaison (CCL). This infrastructure project will improve the quality of life for the residents and the business in the area. Tectonic Engineering, PC, is managing this capital construction project #: SE-807 for New York City Department of Design and Construction (NYCDDC). The project is along 20th Avenue between 126th Street and US Bulkhead Line. Under this project, the contractor will replace old distribution water mains installed before 1970. It will also separate the existing combined sanitary and storm sewer into a separate sanitary and storm sewer system. It will eliminate the combined sewer discharge into the water body under the Federal Mandated Clean Water Act of 1975. This separation of sanitary and storm sewer will stop the flooding of residents’ basements and businesses during heavy rainfall. Additionally, the project will improve/reconstruct sidewalks, Pedestrian Ramps to be ADA compliant, roadways, removal/replacement of catch basins, and existing outfall. The storm and sanitary sewer systems in the area are installed following the NYCDEP’s new drainage plan.
