NYCDDC – Project No. BEDA002

NY Professional Services (NYPS) was the Sub-consultant for the BEDA002 contract, providing Construction Inspection and Community Construction Liaison (CCL) services. Our inspector performed daily monitoring of the construction activities ensuring all work done by the contractor was in accordance with NYC DDC plans and specifications. In addition, inspector’s duties included supervision and inspection for installation of 8″ and 12 ” distribution water mains in various locations throughout the Borough of Brooklyn, including daily reports that included quantities for pay items.

The Construction Community Liaison (CCL)’s goal was to minimize the impact on the communities, residents and business owners and other stakeholders in the area during the construction activities. Our staff’s main goal is always to improve the quality of life and to minimize the impact on residents and the business owners in those areas.

This capital construction project #: BEDA002, with a cost of $18.9 million, was managed by Tectonic Engineering, PC, for the New York City Department of Design and Construction (NYCDDC), which was completed in September 2021. Project also included the installation of new hydrants, manholes, curbs, sidewalks, roadways, and related incidental work throughout various neighborhoods in Brooklyn, including Sheepshead Bay, Bushwick, Bay Ridge, Bensonhurst, Williamsburg, East New York, Sunset Park, Kensington, and Borough Park.
